THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Congratulations to the graduating high school seniors of the Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital’s (MHTW) Junior Volunteer Program. This year, the MHTW Auxiliary rewarded 24 of its graduating Junior Volunteers with a total of $35,000 in college scholarships. Three scholarships were awarded in the amount of $3,000 and five in the amount of $2,000; the remaining 16 scholarships were awarded in the amount of $1,000 each.

Each year the Auxiliary raises the money for the scholarships by having fundraising sales on the Hospital’s campus along with additional proceeds from the MHTW Gift Shop. In order to apply for the scholarships, the Junior Volunteer must be a member of the program for two years, have accumulated 140 hours per year, and must participate in two outside community service events that represent MHTW.
