THE WOODLANDS, Texas — One local family-themed company recently celebrated Endangered Species Day; however, the efforts of the staff at IGi Playground to save endangered species and cultivate wildlife conservation are an everyday opportunity.

“Our mission here at IGi Playground is to save our planet Earth for the benefit of all beings,” said general manager Les Coutino. “Our customers know that, not only do they have a fun time playing at IGi, they are helping a great cause in the process.”

IGi Playground is the newest indoor play center for children to hit The Woodlands area, complete with fun slides, ball pit, epic tunnels and trampolines, cool obstacles, amazing zip line, sweet candy bar and a fantastic maze. The facilities also include private party rooms with video conferencing, crafts, a healthy snack bar, and even a frozen yogurt bar.

However, IGi’s corporate philosophy goes beyond just providing wholesome food and fun for kids; its dedication to animal protection is core to its model. For every purchase made at IGi, 10 percent is donated back to help endangered and threatened species. “According to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature’s ‘red list,’ there are more than 41,000 species that are in danger, with more than 16,000 of those on the ‘endangered threatened with extinction’ list,” said Coutino. “It is imperative to us that we educate and inform people – starting with our children – to stop the path of sildlife disappearing forever.”

To assist with that education, each of the mascots at IGi Playground, including IGi, a white tiger, represents an endangered species so that customers can learn more about and feel a connection to these awesome creatures, and the role they play in our greater global community.

In addition to raising awareness and funds for endangered species, IGi Playground also donates proceeds that directly go to providing education to underprivileged children in third-world nations. “The education must be global,” said Coutino. “The children in those countries witness firsthand the deforestation of their regions and the loss of animal habitats. By helping their education efforts, we can help provide the impetus to reverse this devastating trend.”

IGi Playground believes that play can also be rewarding. “We provide a bright, safe fun place for your kids to let their imagination run wild. We also believe in giving back to planet Earth, so that these children and their children’s children can enjoy all the amazing animals and resources the world has to offer.”

All-day tickets, membership prices and party packages are available. IGi is specialized for entertainment for children from age infant to 13. IGi Playground is located at 3759 FM 1488, suite 250, in The Woodlands.
