THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Woodlands community will miss a familiar face at the Sterling Ridge Kroger, as their demonstration lady, Delores Jean “D.J.” Richards will be laid to rest next week. Reportedly D.J. became ill, and passed away shortly thereafter.

D.J. was the friendly face behind the sample table, who could be found in various areas of the store serving Kroger specialties. She was never hard to find. Her smile would beam from across the aisles. So irresistible was her demeanor that you found yourself loading up your basket with whatever she had on the demo table. D.J. had been an employee of Kroger since 2012.

The Sterling Kroger set up an in-store memorial tribute to their goodwill food ambassador, which customers, many of whom became good friends with D.J., can stop by and sign a card to her family expressing their condolences.

The viewing to pay respects will be at Earthman Resthaven, Wednesday, July 6, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Rosary will take place at 7:00 p.m., at Saint Edwards Catholic Church located at 2601 Spring Stuebner Road in Spring (77389). A Memorial Service will follow on Thursday, July 7, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Edwards.
