Marshals edge the Strykers 3-2

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Strykers only mustered three hits and it wasn’t enough as they dropped a close 3-2 decision to the Texas Marshals.

Ivan Vera and Jonathon Ducoff provided the scoring for the Woodlands as both had RBI singles. Noah McGown had the other hit for the Strykers.

Starter Nolan Holland went five innings for the Woodlands and gave up three runs while striking out seven. Liam Roden provide stellar relief, allowing no runs in three innings of work.

The Woodlands will play one more against the Texas Marshals before heading back home to take on the Victoria Generals on Thursday and Friday. The first place Brazos Valley Bombers will be in town on Saturday and Sunday.
