Strykers fall short

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Lane Fritz threw eight innings and only allowed one run in a tough loss to the Texas Marshals 1-0.

The only run scored in this game due to an RBI double by Tanner DeVinny in the bottom of the fourth inning. The rally fell short in the top of the ninth when Strykers Caleb Dean and Noah McGown’s single back to back with only one out. With two runners on Ivan Vera hit into a double play to end the inning.

The Woodland Strykers look to get back in the win column tomorrow when they return home to face off against the Victoria Generals starting at 7:05pm.
