“After almost 30 years of left brain systems analysis, I decided to pursue right brain creativity,” said Clifford. “Five years prior to my retirement I started taking drawing, pastel, and sculpting classes.”

His sculpting knowledge and skills increased significantly after taking classes from nationally-acclaimed Master Sculptor, R. David Mattiza.*

He took both first and second place in sculpture at an LSAG show a couple of years ago. In addition to sculpting, Clifford enjoys drawing domestic and wildlife animals, but is expanding his interest into landscapes and still life, using acrylics and watercolor.

“These other mediums and subjects will allow me to experiment with a wider variation in color,” said Clifford.
