Strykers come up short

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Strykers took on the Brazos Valley Bombers at home in hopes of halting their win streak. The Strykers got into a pitching duel but were unable to pull out the win.

J.T. Jakubik started the game started the game for the Strykers and went seven and two-thirds innings. He gave up a solo home run in the fifth and struck out seven before turning the ball over to Kyle Porter for the rest of the game. Porter gave up two runs in top of the ninth inning that sealed the game as a loss for the Strykers.

The Stryker offense was unable to produce much tonight as they only registered two hits.

The Strykers take on the Bombers tomorrow night in the Woodlands. The first pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
