MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — Following a busy first half of 2016, master-planned Woodforest continues its expansion with work starting on a new neighborhood, Kingsley.

Kingsley will feature 43 50-foot properties and homes by Gracepoint Homes and Wendell Legacy Homes. The builders are planning a selection of Southern-styled homes in Kingsley, with broad front porches accented by columns reminiscent of Craftsman architecture.

Pricing has not yet been determined for the neighborhood, which is located across the street from the Woodforest Homefinder Lodge, 101 Elk Trace Parkway. Presales are expected to begin later this year.

Kingsley will complement the wide variety of neighborhoods opened this year in Woodforest. Among the new enclaves is the Estate District of Pine Island, which features custom homes on half-acre homesites along the west nine holes of Woodforest Golf Club.

One of the development’s largest neighborhoods — Capriccio — opened earlier this year, featuring designs priced from the $260,000s by Chesmar Homes, Lennar and Perry Homes. Chesmar Homes also started construction in a new section of Cheswood Forest, a neighborhood of townhomes priced from the $190,000s. Woodforest also added Westin Homes to its builder roster this year.

“Our array of home designs and builders has been carefully cultivated to meet a wide variety of buyer needs,” said Virgil Yoakum, general manager of Woodforest. “First-time home buyers can find homes here and when they are ready to move up into a larger home, they can stay in Woodforest near their friends and without changing schools. We are a community here.”

Metrostudy named Woodforest Montgomery County’s most active community in a recent report, which was based on 2015 housing starts. Woodforest also is among the nation’s 30 top-selling developments, according to Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLCO).
