Fall hours for Riva Row, Lakes Edge Boat Houses begin August 15

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Riva Row and Lakes Edge Boat Houses will both switch to the fall schedule beginning Monday, August 15, 2016. Rentals are available from 9 a.m. to sunset, with the last rental out one hour before sunset. Both boathouses will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The Riva Row Boat House is located at 2101 Riva Row, within walking distance of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and Market Street, as well as the many free parking lots south of Riva Row. The Boat House is also a short ride on the free trolley service from any spot along The Woodlands Waterway®.

Group outings with special rates are also available at Riva Row Boat House, and there are unique kayaking options for corporate events, family get-togethers, birthday parties and more. These outings are ideal for relay races, communication drills, scavenger hunts, formal kayak training and guided tours. Table and chair rentals are also available.

The new Lakes Edge Boat House is now open on the waterfront of Lake Woodlands, offering single and tandem kayak rentals. This new facility is located next to the One Lakes Edge apartments at 1970 Hughes Landing Boulevard, just a short walk from Whole Foods Market, Restaurant Row and the Lake Woodlands Boardwalk.

At both boat houses, single kayaks rent for $15 and tandem kayaks rent for $20 for the first hour. Each additional hour is $5. Stand-up paddle boards are available at the Riva Row Boat House for $20 for the first hour and $5 for each additional hour.

The family dog is also welcome to ride for free in the kayaks, and lifejackets are available for dogs of all sizes. Fishing enthusiasts are welcome to bring a pole and tackle box, and the friendly staff will help to select the best kayaks for day fishing trips.
