MADD talks to Anadarko employees about the dangers of drinking and driving

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Heather Smith, Special Events Manager for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Southeast Texas Affiliate, recently met with Anadarko employees. The topic of discussion was How to Talk with Your Kids about Underage Drinking. The program is provided by Anadarko for their employees to promote safety for their families and the community.

Smith spoke with a group of approximately 60 Anadarko employees about underage drinking and how to stay safe. Sgt. Bruse of the Texas Highway Patrol addressed the group to discuss the dangers of teen drinking and drunk driving.

Smith was also able to promote the upcoming Walk Like MADD and MADD Dash events to be held on Saturday, October 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Northshore Park in The Woodlands. Anadarko will participate with a walking team at this year’s events. Walk like MADD is a non-competitive community 5K walk. MADD Dash is a family-friendly 5K chipped run. Both events will raise funds for Mothers Against Drunk Driving in Southeast Texas.
