Montgomery County Sheriff's blotter: August 16-21

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — The following incidents were reported to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office between August 16-21.

District 2 – Lt. Jim Fleming (South County)

On August 17, Deputy W. Sharman was sent to a suspicious vehicle call in the 6800 block of Woodland Oaks. The Deputy located the vehicle and during the investigation it was discovered the male driver was operating the vehicle with an invalid license with prior convictions. The female passenger was found to have a traffic warrant out of the Oak Ridge Police Department and also to be in possession of over 15 grams of methamphetamine. The 30 year old male from Spring and the 25 year old female from Cuero were arrested at 4:55am and transported to jail.

A 17 year old male from Magnolia was arrested at 9:38pm, August 17, and taken to jail from a location on Lilly Drive, by Deputy R. Leverston, for a capias pro fine warrant.

On August 19, Deputy C. Rose responded to the 1000 block of Sawdust Road, in reference to a theft in progress. The Deputy met with the loss prevention officer who advised two males were collecting receipts in the parking lot and returning to the store, collecting the items on the receipts then returning the items to the service center for cash exchange. One of the males was issued a citation for theft and the other, a 20 year old male, from Spring, was arrested at 3:17pm, charged with theft (enhanced), and taken to jail.

On August 20, Deputy S. Lee was dispatched to a welfare concern in the 600 block of Sawdust Road involving an intoxicated female. The Deputy located the female in her vehicle. Witnesses had observed the female pull into the drive thru lane at a fast food restaurant. The female had thrown up several times and had passed out. The 31 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 10:33pm, charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana, and taken to jail.

On August 21, Deputy S. Lee stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 24900 block of Spring Ridge. The female driver was found to be intoxicated. The 31 year old female from Houston was arrested at 2:41am, charged with driving while intoxicated, and taken to jail.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

On August 16, Deputy Hons was dispatched to 3040 College Park Drive, in reference to a shoplifter. The suspect, a 23 year old female, attempted to take a $3.00 pair of sandals from Walmart. Due to the suspect having a previous theft conviction, she was taken into custody for misdemeanor theft and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On August 18, Deputy Smith assisted Deputy Vargas on a traffic stop at Flintridge and Gosling. While speaking with the passenger in the vehicle, Deputy Smith observed a strong distinct odor of burnt marijuana coming from the inside of the vehicle. During the course the traffic stop, the passenger, a 22 year old male, was found to have a substance identified as marijuana in his possession. The driver, a 21 year old male, was also found to have marijuana in a container under his seat. Both were taken into custody for possession of marijuana and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On August 18, Deputy Lopez responded to a motor vehicle accident where a vehicle had crashed into a culvert in the 30600 block of FM 2978. The driver of the vehicle, a 39 year old male, had glassy bloodshot eyes and an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. After contacting the on duty Assistant District Attorney, the suspect was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated and was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On August 19, Deputy Trevino conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Lake Woodlands. During the course of the traffic stop, Deputy Trevino observed the driver of the vehicle to have a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. The suspect, a 38 year old male, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated after an investigation. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On August 19, Deputy Trevino was dispatched to 1201 Lake Woodlands, in reference to a shoplifter. The suspect, a 19 year old female, attempted to take $222.00 worth of merchandise from Nordstrom’s Department Store. The suspect was taken into custody for theft and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On August 20, Deputy Nichols conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Lake Robbins Drive. Upon making contact with the driver, a 36 year old male, Deputy Nichols found the driver to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest. After confirming the warrants, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
