THE WOODLANDS, Texas — The Woodlands Boys Choir is excited to announce collaboration with the newly-formed Woodlands Area Youth Symphony. Both organizations are currently auditioning for new members. The two organizations will perform a Christmas concert together on December 12 at HopePointe Anglican Church in The Woodlands.

The Woodlands Boys Choir was founded by director Sherryl Pond, Organist-Choirmaster of HopePointe Anglican Church in The Woodlands, in September of 2015. WBC made its debut during the Christmas season, performing with the Lone Star College Choir at the Music Department Christmas Interfaith Benefit Concert. This was followed by a stunning performance at the Christmas in the Woods Lessons and Carols at HopePointe Anglican Church in The Woodlands, which sponsors and provides rehearsal space for the choir. Spring activities included a retreat with the renowned Fort Bend Boys Choir and conducted by their Founding Artistic Director, Bill Adams, concerts at The Forum The Woodlands, The Village at the Woodlands Waterway, and a Spring Concert at HopePointe Anglican Church.

The WBC organization is also beginning a new training choir, “TrebleMakers,” for boys ages 6 - 7 and non-auditioned. Registration and information is found at www.woodlandsboyschoir.org.

Woodlands Area Youth Symphony (WAYS) has openings in a few sections, especially looking for talented string players from private, public and home schools.
