THE WOODLANDS, Texas – On Thursday, September 8, 2016, at 7:30 p.m., Dr. Susan Heath, avian conservation biologist, shares the wonder and beauty of hawks at the first program in the fall lineup for Walk in the Woods Nature Lecture Series hosted in the L.G.I. Lecture Hall at McCullough Junior High School, 3800 S. Panther Creek Drive.

Not so far from The Woodlands, the spectacle of hawk migration plays out on the Texas coast each fall. One of the best hawk watch sites in the country, Bolivar Peninsula is the resting spot for tens of thousands of raptors on the migratory journey to Central and South America.

Amazing flyers, hawks are strikingly beautiful. With stunning photography, Dr. Heath will cover 20 species, revealing identifying characteristics, adaptations for survival and natural history.
