Conroe ISD students celebrate at summer graduation

CONROE, Texas — Over 50 seniors from Conroe ISD high schools graduated in a joint ceremony held Friday, August 19, at The Woodlands College Park High School. Jim Kacur, Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools, began the ceremony with a welcome before recognizing the graduates and special guests.

Oak Ridge High School graduate, Javier Ramirez, led the pledges to the flags following the posting of colors by The Woodlands College Park High School Marine Corps JROTC. Jaselle Valdez, Conroe High School graduate, gave remarks about the students’ educational journeys prior to the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees presenting the graduates with their diplomas as they crossed the stage.

Jose Antonio Macias, a Hauke High School graduate, concluded the ceremony with the turning of the tassels and congratulations.
