Vision impairment the focus of The Woodlands Children's Museum and TOMS Eyewear event
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Children’s Museum invites children and their parents to join in its effort to help raise awareness of a critical global issue – visual impairment and blindness.
The museum will partner with TOMS Eyewear to offer a variety of fun activities and art projects geared around sight on Oct. 13, TOMS World Sight Day. Free eye exams for children will be provided by Child & Family Eye Care in The Woodlands.
“World Sight Day is a time to recognize a critical global issue – all of the people in the world who are blind or who need glasses but don’t have access to eye care,” said Angela Colton, executive director of The Woodlands Children’s Museum. “We are really hoping to raise awareness in our community. The more people know, the more we can work toward solving this crisis.”
