THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- During its regular meeting on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2016, The Woodlands Township Board of Directors received a presentation from Jones and Carter regarding the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan which was revised to incorporate feedback provided during the public input process in September.

To address concerns brought forth by community members, the Board of Directors made the decision to remove all recommendations that would have utilized drainage easements, utility corridors and greenbelts from the draft plan.

Members of the community are invited to participate in a public hearing for the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan at The Woodlands Township regular Board of Directors meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., 77381.

Efforts began on The Woodlands Township Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan in October 2015. The plan is the first of its kind for The Woodlands, and will assist the Township with planning for and prioritizing walking and biking projects over time.
