THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Oak Ridge Lady War Eagles cruised to a three-set victory over the Montgomery Bears on Wednesday.

Watch the highlights here.

The game started out with the Lady War Eagles being introduced along with each player's favorite teacher, as part of Teacher Appreciation Night.

Once the game started, it was all Oak Ridge as the girls got off to an early 4-0 lead. Montgomery started to tighten things up a bit with some great blocks, but the solid and balanced attack of Oak Ridge led to a commanding first-set victory of 25-10.

The second set saw Oak Ridge start with another 4-0 lead, but things started getting more competitive as Montgomery battled back to within one point at 10-9.

Power strikes seemed to make a difference as Oak Ridge turned up the heat and started to put some cushion on the scoreboard. The second set saw the girls from Montgomery starting to exert themselves, but still ended in a lopsided 25-16 in favor of the Lady War Eagles.

The third set started with Oak Ridge students in the stands breaking out the brooms in anticipation of a three-set sweep. This may have woken the Montgomery girls up, as the third set was at times a nail biter.

Montgomery set a pace with their first lead of the game, at one point up 13-12, but serves missed by the Bears started to plague the third set. Regardless, the "must win by 2" rule came into consideration.

Unfazed, Oak Ridge stuck to a solid game plan and would not be denied. Unforced errors began to turn the tide and Oak Ridge finished strong with a 25-19 final set.

The Lady War Eagle's #11 Carly Graham was the player of the game, with 10 kills. "We focus a lot on being disciplined," said Graham, an Oak Ridge junior and future Rice Owl.

That discipline clearly paid off on Wednesday.

"We have a lot of things we need to do better," said Oak Ridge Coach Tommie Lynn Sledge, despite the impressive win. "We need to keep the intensity rolling."

Without a loss in their last 37 games, the Lady War Eagles seem to be rolling their way to a Final Four appearance.
