The Woodlands Children's Museum invites young readers and their families to a book-shopping extravaganza.

The nonprofit is hosting the Usborne Book Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26. The museum is located at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280 in The Woodlands.

Usborne Books was established in 1973 by Peter Usborne, who created a line of entertaining nonfiction books for children. He was a patron of READ International, a charity that delivers books to schools in Tanzania, and established the Usborne Foundation to help develop early literacy.

“This is the perfect way to get a leg-up on your holiday shopping,” said Angela Colton, the museum’s executive director. “And by shopping at the book fair, you can actually help the museum earn free titles that we will share in our Shadow Puppet Theatre and Storybook Theatre.”

The event is included in the cost of museum admission, which is $6 for adults and children 1 year and older.
