MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- Splendora High School graduate Jay Jacobs is singing a new tune this Christmas with his R&B band The YRS.

It's not the first single the band has released. But it is their first video with Atlanta-based record label Cash Money Records.

It's called Celebrate (The Gift). You can watch it here on the band's Facebook page.

"It's just a nice holiday song, a love song about whoever you're with, that special somebody at this time of year," said Jacobs, 20, who graduated from Splendora High School in 2014.

They didn't plan on a Christmas video, Jacobs said, but the song came together so beautifully the band -- members include Kyle, Nate, Dom and Taylor -- decided to run with it. They filmed the video in Miami.

Jacobs will be home in Splendora with his loved ones for Christmas.

"It's holiday time and people are crazy for Christmas," he said. "We thought it would be perfect."
