THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Fundraising efforts for Grant Milton continue beyond the end of football season.

Grant is currently in a hospital in The Woodlands rehabilitating from a traumatic brain injury sustained during a Nov. 26 football game in Waco.

Market Street in The Woodlands is hosting a booth in support of The Woodlands Highlander through Jan. 1.

"It just shows the heart of the community," said Blake Milton, Grant's uncle. "Especially during the holiday season, when people are involved with family and travel … to take the time to still think about Grant is very touching."

Community volunteers and The Woodlands High School Quarterback Club will sell fundraising items, including shirts, wristbands and socks, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Market Street.

“We are pleased to be able to align with The Woodlands High School’s Quarterback club to provide a space for their fundraising booth,” said Market Street Marketing Director Noemi Gonzalez. "Our prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery are with Grant Milton and his family.”

Funds will be donated toward Grant's medical expenses.

"We're still in a delicate period of time," Blake said. "We remain in a wait-and-see state because we simply don't yet know the range and depth of the damage from his injury."

Blake said the entire family is thankful for the continued support of Grant.
