THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Oak Ridge War Eagles flew high over the Montgomery Bears Friday night with a close score of 24-21 rounding up the fourth quarter.

With flags being called left and right consistently throughout the night, the energy of the crowd never ceased. Perhaps it was the excitement of homecoming, or football fans raging over the close score. Whatever the case may be, the game concludes another great night of Texas football under the Friday night lights of Woodforest Stadium.

The War Eagles kickoff the game scoring their first touchdown with 8:31 left in the first quarter leaving the score 7-0.

During the second quarter, Montgomery scores a touchdown running 33 yards making the score 14-7 while Oak Ridge doubles their points up to 14. Continuing to rank up the points, the War Eagles score yet again with a field goal finishing the second quarter with 17-7.

Player of the game is earned by number 16 from Oak Ridge, Reinard Britz making a 30-yard run in the third quarter with 3:46 left. Number 17 Caleb Campbell makes a touchdown leaving the score at 24-21 including the field goal point. With only 19 seconds left on the clock with one down and 10 to go, this ultimately concludes the third quarter of the game.

At the start of the fourth quarter, the ref announces that player of the game, number 16 Reinard Britz be traded for number 14 Bishop Durst. Both remarkable quarterbacks for Oak Ridge, coach Dereck Rush makes this decision to prevent the injuries of his players.

Next week on Oct. 13 Oak Ridge takes on College Park at Woodforest Bank Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
