THE WOODLANDS, Texas-- After two straight losses to the Woodlands and Lufkin, the previously unbeaten War Eagles are eager to win their last district game of the season to secure a playoff spot.

Oak Ridge currently sits at the number three seed in the District 12-6A standings and will play number four West Brook on Friday. The War Eagles will need a win here to prevent themselves from moving down in the standings and possibly getting bumped out by Montgomery who is in a close fifth place.

The War Eagles have used a unique approach on offense this season, using three different quarterbacks throughout the year. Bishop Durst, Reinard Britz, and Blaine Romero have all taken a significant amount of snaps for Coach Rush and continue to have success throwing to some of the best receivers in the district in Tanner Lacy and Darrius Jelks. The last two weeks have been Romero while Durst continues to get some action as a defensive back for the War Eagles.

Big time college recruit Joseph Ossai and the War Eagle’s defense will have to stop West Brook dual-threat quarterback La’Ravien Elia. Elia and the Bruins are filled with college level talent on their roster giving the War Eagles another tough matchup late in the season. The War Eagles have had their most evenly matched games in the second half of their season, making it harder to achieve a top playoff spot but also gives them a taste of the playoffs going against other playoff ready teams.

The game broadcast is brought to you by Re/Max The Woodlands & Spring. With replays provided by Sterling Ridge Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
