Montgomery County residents receive free heart-risk screenings at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital hosted a free heart-screening event and lecture series on February 13 and welcomed more than 120 people.

Residents from Montgomery, Conroe and The Woodlands showed up eager to learn their 10-year risk for heart disease and hear from the Houston Methodist team of specialists.

Dr. Shilpa Vaidya of Houston Methodist Primary Care Group in The Woodlands educated guests on ways to maintain a heart-healthy lifestyle and the importance of developing a relationship with a primary care physician.

Physicians with Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center – Drs. Paul Cunningham, Ali Rizvi and Rajesh Venkataraman – shared valuable information on topics including understanding your heart risk assessment, peripheral arterial disease, A-Fib and blood thinners.

The heart specialists see patients on the campus of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, on the 6 th floor of Medical Office Building 1, located at 17183 I-45 S. and at Houston Methodist Comprehensive Care Center, located at 4015 I-45 North in Conroe.
