Matt Hanson repeats as Ironman Champion

THE WOODLANDS, Texas—After months of preparation, the 2018 Memorial Hermann Ironman North American Championship is finally here. The 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile run, 26.2-mile bike race began at Northshore Park and ended at Waterway Square in The Woodlands. Below are the top five finishers and their race time.

Former two-time champion Matt Hanson repeats his performances from 2015 and 2017 to take home the 2018 Ironman in 7:39:25. Hanson becomes the first three-time winner in Ironman Texas history.
