MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- The Rotary Club of The Woodlands, together with Stillwater, a Gracepoint Community in Conroe, raised a cumulative total of $18,832 from The Legends Crawfish Boil that was held on Sunday, April 22 at Stillwater’s Back Porch, an open recreational and social gathering space located in the heart of the community. The proceeds will support Texas Legends Scholarship Fund, which will award college scholarships to students attending South Montgomery County High Schools and Lone Star College.

“On behalf of The Rotary Club of The Woodlands, we are pleased to support local students by contributing to The Texas Legends Scholarship Fund. As a parent myself, I realize how important that next step in a student’s life is as they embark on their exciting career as a collegian. Whether they choose to attend an in-state or out-of-state institution, it’s an incredible four-year journey that’s critical to overall personal and professional development. This type of philanthropic effort is central to our mission as Rotarians,” said Tom Cox, Co-Founder and President of Gracepoint Homes and Rotary club member.

Though the date for next year’s Crawfish Boil has not yet been announced, Gracepoint Homes and The Rotary Club of The Woodlands plan on offering this as an annual event and fundraiser.
