Woodlands High School student competes at U.S. Rowing Junior National Team U19 selection camp

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Robert James Robinson, a senior at The Woodlands High School, has been invited to participate at the prestigious Men’s Under 19 National Rowing Team Selection Camp held this summer at The Olympic Training Facility in Chula Vista, California.

This camp brings together the top rowers from across the country. These athletes are competing for spots in junior world championship boats that will represent team USA at the 2018 World Rowing Junior Championships being held August 8-12, in Racice, Czech Republic.

Robinson hopes to row in college and has attracted the attention of several Division I programs across the country. He is an Eagle Scout and in the top 5% of his class at The Woodlands High School.

Earlier this year Robinson won 6th out of 171 in his division at the C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints World Indoor Rowing Championships in Boston, Massachusettes. He also recently competed at US Rowing Youth Nationals in Rancho Cordova, California. He rows throughout the year in The Woodlands, Texas with Parati Competitive Rowing.
