2019 Inspire Film Festival returns in February

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Save the Date! It’s hard to believe that the Inspire Film Festival (IFF) completed its second annual film festival in February and is planning for its third year. InspireFilmFest is a unique genre of film festival that focuses solely on films that celebrate the human spirit with true stories of good people doing good things all over the world. The third annual event is set for President’s Day weekend, February 14-18, 2019 in The Woodlands, Texas.

Jane Minarovic, the festival’s founder is a Woodlands resident, University of Texas graduate, and filmmaker. Her mission is to bring some of the world’s best films, filmmakers, and special guests to The Woodlands to create an event that will continue to inspire her community for years to come. Minarovic was recently recognized with a “Five Who Share” award by Interfaith of The Woodlands for her outstanding contribution the arts. “I’m grateful for the support from Interfaith and The Woodlands area residents for helping make The Inspire Film Festival a great success. My hope for our 2019 film festival weekend is for it to become an annual weekend where residents and visitors of The Woodlands of all ages will be entertained by a diverse slate of films from all over the world, and be inspired to go out and make a change, big or small—to make the world a better place,” she said.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, this five day cinematic event will continue to expand the number of films, featured guests and related events surrounding the Festival. In addition to the showings at the Cinemark Theaters in Market Street and Tinsel Town, Inspire will introduce a second state of the art Pop-Up theater at the Event Center at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.

The Festival’s official kickoff begins with an open-to-the-public Thursday Short Films Night under the stars at Waterway Square followed by a private VIP sponsor party. The full length films begin on Friday and are shown throughout the weekend.
