Montgomery County Association of Business Women celebrates 13th anniversary

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- The Montgomery County Association of Business Women (MCABW) recently celebrated 13 years in the community connecting women with other like-minded business women at their anniversary luncheon at Incredible Pizza.

Over 100 members and their guests participated in congratulating Carol Gooch, Executive Director and Founder, for developing the organization in 2005 with a motto of “Women Helping Women”.

MCABW is a local forum for area business women to gather together to serve the community and grow their business. The MCABW Foundation (501c3) was created to grant scholarships to graduating female seniors in the community every April.

MCABW Foundation has awarded 40 college scholarships in the past 8 years to seniors based on their academics, involvement in their community or school, and letters of recommendation. This Spring 96 applications were received from Montgomery County High Schools. The majority of scholarships were awarded to students that are first generation college students with a large financial need. The gratitude is immense and tear jerking from the recipients.

Mario Valadez, managing partner with his wife Kim of Incredible Pizza, has partnered with MCABW for 13 years to host the monthly luncheon and Board meetings at his venue. At the luncheon he surprised Gooch with a check of $1,300 representing 13 years of support for MCABW to benefit the scholarship fund. Lunch meetings are open to female members and guests every 4th Tuesday from 11:30-1:00pm at Incredible Pizza.

The Montgomery County Association of Business Women invites you to their 5th annual MCABW Foundation Fundraiser “The Red-Carpet Gala” benefiting scholarships for female high school seniors in Montgomery County on April 4, 2019 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 p.m. at the April Sound Country Club, 1000 April Sound Blvd, Montgomery.

“There are several sponsorship opportunities to choose from. We need your help to award more scholarships to our Montgomery County high school female seniors,” said Gooch. “If you cannot sponsor, we would really appreciate any donation from you for this worthy cause.”

Other MCABW monthly events include the 1 st Thursday of the Month Lake Conroe Luncheon at Pizza Shack from 11:30-1:00pm, 1st Friday of the Month at The Woodlands Chamber from 8:00am-9:00am, 2nd Thursday of the Month Mixer 5:00pm-7:00pm (various locations), and 3rd Friday Conroe Business Builder 8:30am-9:30am.
