THE WOODLANDS, Texas-- The Oak Ridge War Eagles will play host to the College Park Cavaliers Friday Oct.12 at Woodforest Bank Stadium. The War Eagles, coming off a bye week, will be looking for their second straight district win after a 49-14 win over Klein Forest two week ago. The Cavalier’s last win also came against Klein Forest with their 28-0 shutout victory over the Golden Eagles.

War Eagles tailbacks Alton McCaskill and Harrison Smith have given Oak Ridge stability in the ground game in recent weeks. With Blaine Romero at quarterback, Oak Ridge has an excellently balanced offense capable of putting up points on the board.

Coach Derrick Rush’s defense has allowed more than 30 points in all but two of their games this season. In a crucial district rivalry matchup this week with College Park, they will need to force turnovers and slow down Cavalier running back QuaJon Charles. Charles, who averages close to 100 yards per game, is coming off another two touchdown performance against Klein Forest.

The College Park Cavaliers are attempting to reach five wins in a season for the first time since 2013. A win against rival Oak Ridge this week could push the Cavs back into playoff contention, after a minor setback with a 30-0 loss to district co-leader Klein Collins.

Our On-Demand Broadcast will be brought to you by Vinny Sinisi Real Estate with replays presented by The Woodlands Dental Group.
