THE WOODLANDS, Texas--The fourth and final playoff spot in District 15-6A comes down to Thursday Night at Woodforest Bank Stadium. The College Park Cavaliers will host the Klein Bearkats. Both teams currently sit tied for fourth place with a 4-3 district record.

College Park is coming off a convincing 48-23 victory over Klein Cain, the most points they have scored in a game all season. Quarterback Jake Hunnicutt led the way with four total touchdowns. The senior signal-caller has eclipsed over 1000 passing yards, placing him in third place in District 15-6A passing leaders. Add in his 16 total touchdowns, and the Cavaliers have proven they can move the ball downfield. College Park running back QuaJon Charles looks to get more touches in Thursday’s matchup after tallying only 8 carries last week. The junior leads the Cavaliers in rushing scores with 10 and has been the Cavs playmaker for a majority of the season.

Klein ranks above all else in scoring per game, averaging over 30 points a contest this season. Running back D’Anthony Simms leads the district in rushing yards with over 1300 and touchdowns with 17. College Park’s defense could match up well with the high powered Bearkat offense though, allowing only 17 points a game to opposing offenses.

Klein lost their most recent contest last week, falling to Oak Ridge 56-35, giving way for the Cavaliers to compete for the fourth and final playoff spot in District 15-6A.
