THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On a night where Kobe Bryant was honored with a Lakers themed student section and a 24-second moment of silence, the College Park Cavaliers showed some Mamba Mentality in their 67-39 blowout win over the Oak Ridge War Eagles on Tuesday night.

Coming off of a tough loss to Klein Forest on Friday, the Cavs were ready to bounce back and continue their chase for the top spot in District 15-6A. College Park raced out to a 9-0 lead to start the game, quickly setting the tone for the night. In the first half, while players like Nathaniel Murphy and Sean Snyder were taking control of the game offensively, on the defensive end Tanner Perry was rejecting everything at the rim. The Cavaliers took a 17-point lead into the locker room and never looked back.

Murphy, the player of the game finished with a game-high 14 points, shooting 4-6 from three. College Park also got a strong performance from Snyder, who supplied 12 points and shot 83% from the field. Doing the dirty work, Tanner Perry grabbed five boards and added six blocks to his stat line, while Ty Buckmon led with seven assists.

It was a tough night for the War Eagles, but Daryl McClain did put in a good showing with 12 points on the night. Next up for Oak Ridge is a home game against Klein Oak this Friday.

For College Park, they improve to 9-2 in district play before their bye this Friday. The Cavaliers will return to action in a week to take on Klein Oak.
