Storybook Experience creates Classis Santa Portraits in The Woodlands, TX
Some families measure the holidays by how many ornaments they’ve collected.
This sweet family? They measure it in memories with Santa — and every year brings a brand-new twist. Their annual visit for Classic Santa Portraits in The Woodlands TX has become one of my favorite traditions to photograph. Watching these two sisters grow is like flipping through chapters of a Christmas storybook (the classic kind, not the “Santa might be suspicious” kind).

Last year, big sister wasn’t entirely convinced Santa was trustworthy. She was adorable… but absolutely on alert and kept her ‘distance’. Meanwhile, little sister was still a baby just soaking in the cozy lights without fully grasping the whole “Santa is a person” concept.
But this year?
Oh, the roles reversed in the best way.

Big sis marched right up to Santa like they were old friends catching up after a year apart. She laughed, posed, and fully embraced the magic. Little sis, however, has officially entered her Stranger Danger Era — and Santa made the list. When he offered a gentle hello, she delivered a tiny, heartfelt meltdown that was equally dramatic and ridiculously cute.

These reactions, these phases, these little shifts from year to year — this is why their portraits feel timeless.
Every session tells a new part of their story.
Every expression (even the teary ones!) becomes a memory their family will treasure.
And years from now, these images will be the proof that growing up is funny, emotional, and absolutely beautiful.
Capturing this family’s yearly tradition is a privilege, and watching these children change — while Santa stays exactly the same — is pure Christmas magic.
