The Woodlands Track and Field collects five medals at state meet
The Highlander Track team finished top three in five events at the UIL State Track and Field Championship over the weekend. On the boy's side, Patrick Piperi brought home the gold in the Shot Put with a throw of 64.06. Carter Bajoit jumped 6-6 to finish second in the High Jump, and Sean Stavinoha's Discus Throw of 184-06 was also good enough for silver.
In the girls' events, Alexandra Webster picked up two medals in the hurdles on Saturday. Webster came across in second place at 42.34 in the 300-meter hurdles. Webster's 13.93 in the 100-meter hurdles placed third.
College Park also had a top-three finisher at the state meet. Connor Washington grabbed a bronze in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.46
