THE WOODLANDS, TX - We'll see the coldest weather of the season Wednesday morning in The Woodlands.

Enjoy the warmth while it lasts. A strong cold front will push through the area this evening, causing temperatures to tumble 20 to 30 degrees in a matter of hours. The highs before the front will be in the upper 70s with breezy south winds.

We'll continue the cool down throughout the night and will wake up to the mid 30s tomorrow morning, with outlying areas dipping a little below freezing. Tomorrows high will struggle to reach the mid 40s.

Wednesday morning will be the coldest so far this season. A light freeze is expected, as temperatures will be in the upper 20s by sunrise. Though pipes should fare well, it would be a good idea to start wrapping them up for the next weather event. Tender vegetation should be covered and bring the pets indoors.

Wednesdays high will reach the low 50s, as well as Thursday. The payoff is an amazing weekend with plenty of sunshine and highs in the low to mid 60s.
