June Spotlight-Debby Dykes
The Spotlight partner for June is Debby Dykes, Owner of Network In Action (NIA) Network in Action is a group of businesspeople that meet once a month to engage and interact with other members to potentially increase their business through trusted relationships.
Founded by Scott Talley, he had a desire to assist thousands of small-to-medium-sized business owners through an online platform with just one monthly meeting. NIA state of art technology allows business owners to meet once a month and stay connected 24/7. Return on investment is guaranteed if a potential member attend 11 of 12 meetings and pass 12 referrals each year.
Potential members are invited to participate as a guest at a monthly meeting and then meet one on one with the franchise owner to evaluate the potential to bring value to the rest of the members. The members support each other and evolve into long lasting relationships that contribute to the total group dynamic. Members must be the decision maker of a business or organization and be a natural fit to enhance the group.
Debby was employed for over 25 years in the medical/lab supplies business finishing her career as a sales trainer for representatives traveling across the United States. Born in New Mexico, she moved to Houston in 1976, and relocated to Montgomery County in 2017.
“Traveling became too tough on the family when my parents moved in with us”, said Debby. “I enjoy being connected to the community and caring for others and was hoping to find a franchise I could be passionate about every day. As a franchise owner for 2 groups, I have the opportunity to create the group dynamic knowing the personalities of each member business to ensure the best fit.”
Debby celebrated her 2nd Anniversary with the Conroe/Montgomery NIA in April 2020. They meet monthly at Salt Grass in Conroe the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 3:30pm-5:00pm with after hour socials. This group was so successful she initiated another group that meets monthly the 2nd Thursday of the month from 3:30pm-5:00pm at Citizen’s Grill. Meeting include one member speaking about their business and a social hour after the meeting.
Giving back is also a significant part of NIA. Each group is asked to participate in an annual project. Debby has a member who is actively involved with the Patriot Guard Riders. The organization members attend the funerals of veterans and first responders at the invitation of a decedent's family, celebrate the joys of veterans, and participate in the Wreaths Across America. This year that collected water for the motorcycle riders to share at their events.
Office Evolution/The Woodlands is Debby’s work office. She can make calls without distractions, meet members, use the conference room, and know that she is in a professional environment with access to a kitchen, a receptionist, office furniture, a copier, and an assortment of restaurants steps away!
“Displaying a presentation is as easy as setting up my computer. Phil Anderson sets up the large screen and we are ready to go! This is a convenient location with easy access to parking, amenities, and even a mailing address!”
Debby was “Diplomat of the Year” for the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce in 2019, she is a Board Member for Bears, Etc, a member of Montgomery County Association of Business Women on the Membership Committee, and is a member of the American Business Women Association.
“I care about the success of my members. I only pick the best quality people to be a part of NIA-Conroe/Montgomery”, shared Debby in closing. “Network In Action is the best way I've found to meet the business people who are committed to building life-long mutually beneficial business relationships!”
