THE WOODLANDS, TX – Though this school year is starting out online, certain school zones in the area will still be in effect. Some schools will have children residing within, and active programs occurring, so be on the lookout! Montgomery County Sherriff's Office Lieutenant Scott Spencer said that the lights should be flashing and will be enforced.

“School zones are put in place to ensure the safety of children in and around schools. While class is in session, drivers are responsible for maintaining safety and awareness on the streets surrounding schools. All children should be able to walk or bike to and from class without fear of being hit by passing vehicles.” Stated driving-tests.org’s article, This Is How You Drive In School Zones: 7 Speed Limit Tips.
