Family Spring Break – So you want to stay in the United States?

– Bronx Zoo
– Audubon Aquarium of the Americans in New Orleans

All the destination on this list not only have great zoos or aquariums, but they also have a lot of other fun family activities near them too!

Do you want to go visit the snow?

The West Coast has been getting some great snow! Some great locations in CA are Big Bear, Mammoth, and Lake Tahoe
Colorado
Vermont
Summer is right around the corner and Texas gets HOT! Why don’t you get your last chance to stay cool for the next several months?

Do you want warm weather?

Palm Springs CA
Arizona
Rancho de Los Caballeros is a family friendly Dude Ranch in Arizona
Both locations are great for families that just want to relax at a fun resort and hang out by the pool in the warm dry air.

Do you want the beach?

– San Diego CA
– Los Angeles CA
– Florida
– Hawaii
– The Carolinas

Sure, it’s not the Caribbean, but locations like Hawaii, Florida, and the Carolinas can certainly compete with warm water, beautiful sceneries, and amazing resorts. While California waters are a little cooler, El Nino has helped them stay warm this winter, plus Los Angeles and San Diego has a ton of fun things to do for all ages.

Do you like Baseball?

– Spring Training starts in Arizona and Florida

The Houston Astros do their spring training in Florida, but many other teams go to Arizona as well. This is super fun for baseball fans as it gives them a chance to sometimes meet the players!

Do you like museums?

– New York City
– Washington DC
– Boston
– Los Angeles

If your kids love museums these cities are for you. At the New York City Museum of Natural History (where Night At The Museum was filmed) you can even spend the night in there to see if the museum comes alive, like in the movie!

Do you like History?

– Washington DC
– Philadelphia
– Boston
– Charleston
– New Orleans
– San Francisco

These cities are teaming with America’s great history. It’s a great way to keep the kids learning over spring break, without it feeling like they are still in school.

Do you have a passport and are looking for some fun in the sun?

– Riviera Maya Mexico has some great family friendly all inclusive resorts with lots of activities for the kids, like Karisma Gourmet Inclusive Resorts.
– Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas is a great resort for lots of family fun
– Beaches Turks and Caicos
– Beaches Negril Jamaica
– Caribbean Cruises and if you leave from Galveston there are no flights!

Cruises are a great way to see a lot of islands or countries in a short period of time. With many onboard activities: from pools, kids clubs, water slides, and surf simulators for the kids (of all ages) to casinos, bars, lounges, Broadway-caliber shows, and spas for the adults, there is something for everyone, and that doesn’t even cover the destinations you visit. And if you leave and return to a US port it is not required (although still recommended) to have a Passport, making it an ideal quick getaway. Bonus! Because of the great kid’s clubs most of the cruise lines have, you can have some adult time while the kids still have a blast!
