How CDC’s New COVID Guidelines Affect Travel Within the US
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky announced that anyone who is fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing. He also commented on travel -
“Right now for travel, we are asking people to continue to wear their masks,” Walensky said. He noted that as more science becomes available in regard to the transmission risk on public transportation, the CDC will update its guidelines as appropriate.
This new mask mandate does, however, make it possible for vaccinated individuals to remain mask-free once they reach their US destinations.
