About Us

Evan Berlin is an active community advocate who has dedicated thousands of hours to volunteer service benefiting the community and his peers alike for more than 20 years.

Evan’s focus has always centered on youth programs and education. He coached The Woodlands Hurricanes and The Woodlands Waves for five years, serving as head coach for three, driving back and forth from Fort Worth during college to make sure he was at every practice from the very beginning.

In college, Evan served in several community and education-related roles, including the Texas Christian University (TCU) Board of Trustees Student Relations Liaison Committee, an appointment by the Chancellor of Texas Christian University.

Following graduation, Evan returned to Houston and undertook a series of volunteer responsibilities – founding a young professional group, serving on the board of Camp For All (a barrier-free camp providing activities for children and youth with medical and other prohibitive conditions), and founding his own non-profit.

The non-profit focused on providing educational and activity-related programming for foster care and at-risk-youth. The primary goal was to improve the outcomes of these youth when they turn 18.

Through his years of community and educational service, Evan engaged with politicians and organizations on regulatory and legislative policy to improve the outcomes of at-risk and foster care youth.

Evan has conducted extensive research on both education and community engagement, educational standards, children and youth development needs, and programs that support children and youth at every stage and all abilities.

Evan holistically views the importance of education and community, serving as a volunteer consultant to organizations focused on increasing access to education, jobs, and medical care through improved transportation networks and increased transportation mediums.

Evan was named a Community Hero by the TCU Alumni Association and recognized by The Houston Dynamo Charitable Foundation as a Community Champion.
