For sale is a very large Chinese Cloud Collar that is framed and ready to hang. In China, collars were made separately from the robe or other garments. As such the so-called cloud collars were used much like a necklace allowing a single collar to be worn over various robes. This collar was purchased in Singapore in the 1990s and most likely dates from the early 20th century. The background fabric is silk and the stitched threads are silk with the tassels made of cotton. The predominant color is green but there are many other colors woven in as well. The item is very large with the frame measuring 57 1/2 inches tall by 59 1/2 inches wide. It has very strong metal loops at the top of the frame so it can be hung easily.
At $125 this is a good buy and will fill up a lot of wall space if you have a large room. Reply if interested and thanks for looking.
