Regency period circa 1805 solid mahogany dining room table and six chairs. One of the six chairs is anarmchair and the others side chairs. There are two additional chairs that are newer but complement the set. We bought this set in England in the mid-1980s. The table when fully extended is 9 feet long and 45 inches wide. It can be separated into two different tables. One is a drop-leaf table with the center 20 inches by 45 inches and the two drop leaves are 23 inches by 45 inches. The other table is 45" square. These are shown in the pictures. The chairs have saber-style legs and drop-in seats which is characteristic of the Regency period. The backs of the chairs have an inlaid pattern of darker wood. The two additional chairs are black with gold accents and are reproductions of 19th-century chairs.
This is a beautiful dining room set if you like real antiques. We have enjoyed it for over 35 years but have just moved to a smaller house and do not have room for it. This is a solid wood piece of furniture history for a very reasonable price of $1500 for the table and all eight chairs. The item is located in The Woodlands so let me know if interested.
