About Ability & Beyond Pediatric Therapy
Ability & Beyond is a state of the art pediatric therapy practice seeking experienced occupational therapists who want to make a difference in children's lives and maximize each child's potential. Located in The Woodlands, we have a highly experienced dedicated staff that provides cutting edge OT, PT and speech therapy services in our specialized sensory clinic. Primary therapeutic approaches include sensory integration treatment, HMS feeding, Interactive Metronome, Astronaut Training, Listening therapies, Reflex Integration, Motor learning, and Executive Functioning Training. Among the areas we address are sensory processing, praxis, self-regulation, self-care, behavior, working memory, gross and fine motor development, visual motor integration, auditory processing, and Feeding. We are unique in our commitment to evaluate and treat the whole child, and our mission is to empower the children and to support and empower their families.

Job Description
We are looking for energetic, fun-loving therapists with strong treatment and evaluation skills who are able to effectively work with children in a non traditional environment. We are seeking those with a firm commitment to understanding and helping children with sensory processing differences, Autism, cognitive and behavioral challenges. The best candidates are therapists with demonstrated leadership ability who are upbeat, organized, self-motivated and problem solvers, and who want to be part of a team of a dedicated team of therapists.
Provide occupational therapy services to children birth through 21 in a sensory clinic, using therapeutic approaches which meet each child’s unique needs
Evaluate new patients in person and/or virtually
Collaborate with the child, parents and teachers to set functional goals
Design and monitor effective home programs, sensory diets, and school plans, which meet the child's needs and family's capacity for follow-through
Provide ongoing guidance, education, and support to parents and caregivers
Participate in team meetings and workshops
Participate in program development, such as spring break and summer camp programs and after-school groups
Required Skills
Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
3+ years’ experience providing occupational therapy to children in a sensory clinic.
Experience in treating children of all ages with a wide range of challenges, including Sensory Processing Disorder, Developmental Delays and Autism
Compassionate, caring, collaborative, willing to go the extra mile for your families
Excellent problem-solving skills and analytic abilities
Ability to build a warm therapeutic relationship with the child and family
Ability to conduct assessments and evaluations using standardized evaluation tools and clinical observations to determine the child’s strengths and challenges, collaborate on goal setting with caregivers, and generate a comprehensive report of findings
TX Occupational Therapy License
Desire to work long term in a warm supportive environment

Provide effective treatment sessions to meet the child's functional goals
Excellent Communication Skills with parents, children, and Co-workers
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
Specialty certifications such as Ayres Sensory integration, The Interactive Metronome, the Listening Program, Astronaut Training, Floortime, Handwriting Without Tears, Brain Gym, BalAVisX, Reflex Integration, NDT, Handling and/or Feeding a plus
Experience with children birth to three, and on the autism spectrum

TX OT License
