Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
Oversee daily disposal of samples, chemicals, reagents, and consumables used in the laboratory.
Sanitize and properly store all containers.
Assist with receiving and client kits when applicable.
High School diploma or equivalent
The ability to multi task, prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Vision sufficient to read and interpret chemical and reagent labels, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, laws spreadsheets, computer screens and printouts, business correspondence and other documents encountered in the course of work.
Hearing sufficient to hear conversation levels in person and telephone.
Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in front of groups, over the telephone, in meetings and training sessions.
Mobility sufficient to safely move in an environmental laboratory
Dexterity sufficient to safely operate office equipment including computers and specialized tools and equipment used in the course of work.
Strength sufficient to safely lift and carry sample containers, office supplies, materials, equipment, and other related materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
Endurance sufficient to stand and bend from the waist for long periods; maintain efficiency throughout entire shift.
In a climate-controlled and non-climate controlled setting within the laboratory.
Work may involve exposure to odors, fumes, hazardous chemicals and acids requiring the use of safety glasses, aprons, gloves, face shields and a fume hood.
Work may involve evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

We are an environmental testing laboratory located in the The Woodlands Texas. We are in need of a sample disposal clerk who can oversee the disposal and sanitization of sample jars and containers and help with maintenance of the receiving and lab area. This is a full-time entry level position. Hours can be flexible. Benefits are offered for all full-time employees. Experience in building maintenance and janitorial cleaning desired.
