Job Description

This position will assist and support the Director with the operational management of the school and will assume the responsibilities of the Director in her absence. Must have working knowledge of Minimum Standards and school policies.
• Maintain a position of leadership assisting the Director with planning and implementing strategies regarding the overall budgets for the school
• Maintain a professional attitude and strong work ethic at all times
• Assist the Director with projects and initiatives by completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
• Maintain guidance and behavior policies and work closely with the Curriculum Coordinator ensuring that classrooms are adequately equipped and staff are trained in needed areas
• Coordinate coverage for all breaks, wing support schedules, and classrooms; assign substitute teachers to proper age groups based on str4engths and experience
• Review and approve teachers PTO requests once coverage is confirmed
• Process behavior and incident reports, oversee parent/teacher conferences and conduct school tours in the absence of the Registrar or Director
• Maintain the Emergency Phone Tree and inform staff as changes are made
• Process bills and invoices weekly ad obtain needed approvals
• Maintain petty cash
• Work with admin staff and Curriculum Coordinator to maintain, manage, and order supplies and inventory on a timely basis
• Maintain documents for state licensing with vendors and insurance
• Assist clinic with sick children when needed
• Maintain confidentiality about issues related to children , staff and/or families
• Acquire 36 hours of professional development annually
• Maintain working knowledge of Minimum Standards and ICDC’s Operation Policies and Handbooks
• Provides exceptional customer service with parents, staff and volunteers
• Attend all meetings and school events
• Assist with carline as needed
• Assist with monthly emergency drills
• Other duties assigned by the Director

Skills Required

College degree preferred or 5+ years relevant experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and uses discretion in handling confidential information. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Able to multitask with strong time-management and problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, complex office setting with multiple demands and competing priorities.
