PW Associates CPAs (“PWA”) is seeking an experienced tax manager to serve our domestic and international clients.

We offer full and part-time, flexible schedule work arrangements.

PWA is a semi-virtual CPA firm; our team works remotely. We have offices in Dallas and Houston for the rare occasions when clients want to meet in person, but the rest of the time we work from our home offices. Most of our team members reside in Dallas or Houston.

We are a boutique firm focusing on providing tax, controllership and outsourced accounting, and advisory services. PWA has expertise serving companies involved in international trade.
Qualifications Sought

We are looking for an experienced tax manager who has public accounting (and / or industry) tax experience. Five years’ experience is a minimum for the position.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about client service and who enjoys being a tax preparer and advisor.

Our clients appreciate, and we look for, talented tax professionals who communicate well and often. We work best with individuals who keep clients and colleagues well informed on tax preparation status, upcoming deadlines, and who offer tax planning ideas. We require self-starters who take personal responsibility for their work.

We have a policy of not working for ethically questionable or demeaning clients. By the same token we expect team members to be completely honest, ethical, and thorough in their work.
CPA certification is preferred but is not a requirement to be considered for a tax manager position.
Experience with Ultra Tax is preferred.

Responsibilities
This position will have responsibility for a variety of client tax matters including …

• preparation or review of federal & state income tax returns,
• preparation or review of international information returns,
• preparation or review of income tax provisions,
• advising clients on tax matters,
• tax research,
• project management,
• coordination with accounting staff,
• sales tax and 1099 reporting,
• etc.
