We are looking for a highly motivated Bilingual Medical assistant to join our established plastic surgery practice. The position is part time Tuesday through Friday. This person must be detailed oriented, able to multi-task, provide instructions to patients regarding treatment plan and follow up care and be able to work in a fast paced setting. Individual must be able to communicate effectively with members of the staff, and physician, including accurate documentation in patient medical records. Applicant will also be responsible for assisting with direct patient care such as: suture removal, dressing changes, sterilizing instruments and patient consultations. Plastic Surgery office experience preferred, bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Applicant must have the following skills and abilities: Current Medical Assistant Certification Knowledge of medical procedures and nursing practices Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient computer skills Must be punctual, reliable and willing to work late if needed Documenting in EMR in an accurate and timely manner Suture removal, dressing changes, drain removal, instrument sterilization, stocking and ordering of medical supplies Bilingual English/Spanish Must be a team player Able to provide patient care in a professional and caring manner Knowledge of OSHA and HIPPA
