Job Description

Summary: This individual is an administrative professional effective in planning, prioritizing, and executing tasks in a timely manner as well as building and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally.

Essential Functions: Provides administrative support to the Pastor of Formation in support of ongoing activities and special events; includes coordination of Men’s Ministry activities and special events. This includes:

  • Attends Formation meetings, staff meetings, and other training as required.
  • Support formation team members and volunteers to ensure completion or success of activity.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with partner ministries, meeting with them as necessary.
  • All administrative duties such as computer work, copies, distribution, correspondence, and travel related to Formation. Create and maintain volunteer registrations.
  • Manage requests and assignments for meeting rooms; coordinate with Facilities to ensure rooms are ready for meetings and events.
  • Process expense reports for ministry volunteers and, as requested, the Pastor of Formation.
  • Schedule meetings for Pastor of Formation as requested.
  • Review budget and bring relevant items to the attention of the Pastor of Formation.
  • Prepare and present reports as requested by the Pastor of Formation.
  • Perform background checks on volunteers.
  • Ensure Safe Sanctuary requirements are fulfilled by volunteers who work with children or vulnerable adults.
  • Men’s Ministry support including, but not limited to:
    • Support our current Quest gatherings, with attendance on Sunday Nights and Tuesday Mornings.
    • Support and Equip Men’s Groups.
    • Coordinate men’s retreats and yearly men’s conference.
    • Implement vision for men’s ministry from the Pastor of Formation.

  • Proven verbal and written skills and be able to serve as primary contact for the ministry, both by phone and email
  • Working knowledge of computing and databases, MS Office suite
  • Ability to learn specialty church systems
  • Flexibility to multi-task and support multiple functions

 

Physical Demands

  • This position requires sitting, standing, lifting, reaching, and crawling.

  • Reports to: Pastor of Formation
  • Position Type: Full-Time
  • Schedule: M – F (Sunday evenings/Tuesdays mornings during Quest)
  • Compensation: Dependent on experience
  • Benefits: Full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, 403b
