Job Description

Ability and Beyond Integrated Therapies is a pediatric outpatient clinic providing speech and occupational
therapy to children of all ages. We are looking for a SLP who loves kids and loves to learn!
We treat the whole child and work closely with pediatricians, schools, psychologists, and last but not least
our parents! The SLPA we are looking for to join our team will work closely with our Speech Supervisor in
providing speech therapy to clients to facilitate increased independence in relation to communication
goals, complete required documentation, and communicate effectively with parents and fellow clinicians.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide speech therapy via the patient's individualized treatment plan/ Plan of care.
2. Work with other members of the team to deliver activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of
each client.
3. Instruct clients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the speech therapy
treatment program.
4. Maintain appropriate and timely documentation for all clients treated.
5. Attend and contribute to required meetings.
6. Ensure that clients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate
atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
7. Assist the SLP with speech, language, and hearing screenings without clinical interpretation.
8. Assist the SLP during assessment of patients exclusive interpretation
9. Follow documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising SLP. Plan appropriate
therapy activities based on ongoing treatment plans/goals.
10. Provide guidance and treatment via tele-practice to patients who are selected by the supervising SLP
as appropriate for this service delivery model.
11. Document patient, (e.g., progress reports, tallying data for the SLP to use; preparing charts, records,
and graphs) and report this information to the supervising SLP.
12. Program and provide instruction in the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices.
13. Demonstrate or share information with patients, families, and staff regarding skilled strategies
developed and directed by the SLP.
14. Assist with clerical duties, such as preparing materials, planning and setting up activities, and
scheduling activities, as directed by the SLP.
15. Perform checks and maintenance of equipment.
16. Assist with departmental operations (scheduling, record keeping, safety/maintenance of supplies and
equipment).

Skills Required

QUALIFICATIONS
1. ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE GRADUATES OF AN ACCREDITATE SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY PROGRAM

2. ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE LICENSED IN THE STATE OF TEXAS TO PROVIDE SPEECH THERAPY SERVICES

3. Pediatric experience.
