Neighborhood ER Helps Shortage of Blood in Summer Months; Will Hold Fall Blood Drive
The Woodlands, TX -- First Choice Emergency Room sponsored the Summer Blood Drive to benefit the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center on July 21st. Dr. Andy Kretschmer, Regional Medical Director for First Choice Emergency Rooms was pleased to be one of the first donors for the event.
Summer blood supplies are typically low and the area experiences increased needs during these months. The Bluebonnet Chapter of NCL provided volunteers for this and previous blood drives. First Choice Emergency Room will also sponsor a Fall Blood Drive on Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Kuykendahl location from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
