The Woodlands Township Debuts New Signage in Town Center
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Township's has debuted new signage within Town Center to improve the wayfinding system in the commercial center.
The new signage is designed to update the existing system, which was launched in 1999. While the exterior major streets of Town Center along Research Forest and Woodlands Parkway will retain their current shape and color with some updating of messages, the interior signage is undergoing a change in shape, size and color with updated information.
The new system was designed by Juliana Marek of Marek-Hill Design, the Houston-based architectural and environmental graphic arts firm.
Steve Sumner, Vice President of Operations and Public Safety for The Woodlands Township, said, "It is exciting to see this begin to take shape as we begin to update the directional wayfinding system which reflects a fresh new look. The new system distinguishes Town Center from the rest of The Woodlands Township, and effectively relays information about the new destinations that have been recently added. We are pleased with the great new look."
The Township's President Frank W. Robinson, added, "This updated wayfinding system enhances the look and feel of the entire downtown experience. By providing visual consistency to the area, the system directs residents and visitors toward our many new and existing destinations such as retail centers, commercial areas, parking and other amenities."
